Every season has its magic, but autumn in Mallorca feels special. Not only for the changing landscape, but for the way it invites you to live at a different pace: a glass of wine at sunset, a walk through rustling leaves, a comforting meal, a room that welcomes you in…

In Binibona, the leaves turn amber and red, the light softens over the mountains, and the air gently nudges you to slow down. It’s the perfect month to let yourself be held by the landscape — and to rediscover that slower rhythm that the season brings.

The views over the Serra de Tramuntana become even more poetic, and each day offers a new, quieter way of feeling the island… more intimate, more your own.

Harvest season, vineyard visits and comforting flavours

Ca'n Beneït

October is a time of harvest: the vineyards, olive groves and almond trees display the fruits of the year’s care. The island fills with earthy aromas and seasonal produce at its best.

One of the best ways to experience this is by visiting a local winery. Mallorca has over 70 family-run vineyards, many offering outdoor tastings and walks through their estates.

From Ca’n Beneït, we recommend discovering the island’s wine culture — a way to taste the land with every sip.

Autumn flavours at Mirabona restaurant

As the season changes, so does our kitchen.

At Mirabona, Ca’n Beneït’s restaurant, we celebrate autumn with llampuga (a local fish), late figs, mushrooms, pumpkin and nuts — the kind of ingredients that bring comfort and depth to every dish.

Our new autumn menu is a tribute to the season’s earthy, generous essence — served with open views over the valley, and time to savour slowly.

October’s plans: local festivals, sweets and tradition

FIRA DOLÇA – ESPORLES, early October

This fair in the Tramuntana village of Esporles is a tribute to Mallorcan baking: almond cakes, nougat, pastries and sweet bread fill the town square in early October.

A celebration for sweet lovers.

Dijous Bo – Inca, mid-November

Though it’s held in November, the preparations begin in October. Dijous Bo is Mallorca’s biggest and most traditional fair: livestock, local crafts, food, wine, and a vibrant mix of modernity and rural culture.

A unique way to discover the island’s inland heritage.

October is the ideal month for hiking in the Tramuntana.

Cooler mornings, golden light and a quieter landscape all around you. Walk through the Ca’n Beneït estate or follow nearby trails like the path to Ses Figueroles — a peaceful, easy hike among olive trees and dry-stone paths, where the silence feels like a gift.

At Ca’n Beneït, October is written in quiet moments, grounding flavours and memories that remind you of what truly matters.
